Technical Field Trip to Kalekim Factory by Chemical Technology Students

Students from the Chemical Technology Program at Balıkesir University conducted a technical field trip to the Kalekim Balıkesir Factory to observe the latest industry developments on-site.

As part of their educational activities, the visit provided an in-depth look into the production processes of paints, joint fillers, tile and ceramic adhesives, waterproofing materials, and thermal insulation products. Our students witnessed the journey of construction chemicals through modern production lines, gaining the opportunity to see the practical application of the theoretical knowledge acquired in their coursework.

Examination of Quality Control and Analysis Processes In addition to the production lines, our students visited the factory’s quality control laboratories. There, they received detailed briefings from industry experts regarding product compliance analyses and quality testing standards. This technical visit enhanced our students' professional competencies and allowed them to closely understand the dynamics of the sector.

At the conclusion of the program, our students expressed their gratitude to the Kalekim family for their kind hospitality and for sharing their valuable professional insights.
