A chemistry workshop held as part of the Social Sciences and Natural Sciences Workshop at Celal Toraman Anadolu Lisesi brought high school students together with the transformative power of science.
The Social Sciences and Natural Sciences Workshop, organized by Celal Toraman Anadolu Lisesi, hosted a series of activities aimed at enhancing scientific awareness. As part of the event, a chemistry workshop themed “Change,” conducted by Altınoluk MYO Kimya Teknolojisi Programı, attracted great interest from students.
The workshop was led by Lecturer Duygu Kılıç, with the assistance of program student Zeynep Özcan. During the session, high school students had the opportunity to explore the interaction and transformation of substances—the fundamental concepts of chemistry—through hands-on experiments.
Throughout the experiments, participants examined observable changes such as color transformations in chemical reactions, energy exchanges, and reaction mechanisms in detail. Beyond performing experiments, students also gained insights into analyzing natural processes from a scientific perspective.
The workshop highlighted how small-scale interactions can lead to significant outcomes, contributing to the development of students’ scientific thinking skills.
By combining scientific awareness with hands-on learning, the event not only increased students’ interest in chemistry but also aimed to inspire future scientists.
