According to Article 5 of the Balıkesir University Exemption and Adaptation Procedures Directive, which addresses the application period and principles, Applications for "Course Exemption" for the 2025-2026 Academic Year must be submitted by the student or their legal representative, along with the required documents, within the deadlines specified below. Applications submitted after the application deadline will not be accepted.
(1) Students registering for the first time at the University may submit a petition outlining the courses they wish to be exempt from to the relevant unit they are registered with within 10 business days of the start date of the academic year/semester they are registered with. However, students registering for the first time at the University after the start date of the academic year (extra quota, international student, vertical transfer, etc.) may submit a petition outlining the courses they wish to be exempt from to the relevant unit they are registered with within 10 business days of their registration date. Students other than those registering for the first time at the University may submit a petition outlining the courses they wish to be exempt from to the relevant unit they are registered with by the end of the first course registration week following the semester they will continue their studies at the University.
(2) Students who have suspended their registration or are on leave may submit their exemption applications within the first week of their academic year.
(3) Applications submitted after the application deadline will not be accepted.
(4) Applications for exemption must be submitted by the student themselves or their legal representative.
(5) Applications must specify the courses for which exemption is requested, and a certified transcript (with a wet signature/electronic signature/verification code) and course content (including the full internet link address) must be attached.
(6) Students must indicate in their application which course(s) they wish to exempt from in exchange for the course(s) they have previously taken and passed. They may request exemption from equivalent course(s) in exchange for multiple courses they have previously taken and passed.
