EXEMPTION EXAM INFORMATION TEXT
The Common Compulsory Foreign Language English Course Exemption Exam will be administered face-to-face on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 3:00 PM for each student at their registered faculty or school.
This exam is available to all newly enrolled students in all faculties and schools affiliated with our university who will be taking Foreign Language I and Foreign Language II courses for the first time.
Students are eligible to take this exam once.
Students who have been accepted to the English Language Teaching Department of Necatibey Faculty of Education and are registering for the first time are not eligible to take this exam.
Students who have transferred or transferred, as well as students currently in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grades, are not eligible to take this exam.
Students from the Faculty of Theology who have successfully passed the Arabic preparatory class or who have been exempted from the Arabic preparatory class are eligible to take the exam.
Participants are required to submit their official identification documents (ID card, driver's license, or passport) to take the exam.
The exam will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions and will last 50 minutes.
The Exemption Exam Results of students taking the exam will be sent to the Dean's Office/College Directorate of the Faculty/College where the student is enrolled.
Students can learn their exam results from the Student Affairs Office of the Faculty or College where they are enrolled.
To be exempt from Foreign Language courses with Course Codes YDI 1101 and YDI 1201, students must receive a score of 60 points (CC letter grade) or higher in accordance with Article 17/1 of the Balıkesir University Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations to be considered successful on the exemption exams.
Students who score at least 60 points or higher on the exam are exempt from the course. By taking the exam, each participant is deemed to have accepted the exam procedures and principles.
